Ubuntu section on ubuntu.com / 2011
With the release of Ubuntu 11.04 in May 2011, I've worked along with the rest of the Canonical Web team on the creation of the new fully fledged section on showcasing Ubuntu's features.

British Standards Online / 2010
British Standards Online (BSOL) is a large database of more than 50,000 standards. The goal with this redesign was to create a more user-friendly user interface and overall experience. This project was developed at FoxLand and the design was created with the collaboration of its creative director Andrew Fox.

iPad Banking App / 2010
An iPad app for online banking. The goal for this app was to keep things simple: I designed it to be as close to the native iPad/iPhone look as possible and built the HTML and CSS on top of the Universal iPhone UI Kit. This project was commissioned by Genwi.

Paadal’s website & logo / 2008
Paadal is a music website, focused on indian music. The layout should be simple and easy to grasp, but, at the same time, original and vibrant, like the music itself. The result is a modern website, with powerful colours, that is a breath of fresh air within the sites on this subject.

Buzzable's website / 2008
Buzzable is way for college students to communicate with their groups and friends through short-messages, submitted via the web or their mobile phone. The layout for the site relies on its simplicity and ease of use.

Some of the logos I’ve designed: Limões, Lda. - a construction company; Refúgio dos Anjos - a day-care centre for children; Hospital Manager - an online game.

Oliveiralentejo's website / 2008
Oliveiralentejo requested a site that emphasized their specialty and knowledge in olive trees. I worked on this project through Ideias Frescas, whose wonderful coders were able do develop the CMS for the site.

Dyslexia Assessment & Consultancy website / 2010
Dyslexia Assessment & Consultancy is a consultancy based in Central London with a team of dyslexia experts specialising in assessment, training, employment consultancy and legal work. It was important that its site was accessible to their most important target users. This project was developed at FoxLand.

Richard Kindersley’s website / 2010
Richard Kindersley is a master at his work, creating stunning lettering and sculpture works that can be seen at some of the most important buildings in the UK, like St Paul's Cathedral. His new website needed to bring out his work more than anything else, so the design is structured, clean and minimal. This project was developed at FoxLand.

Marina Silva is a Portuguese professional beautician who needed her own place on the web. This website reflects her high standards and care she puts into her work. Its very clean design, beauty and simplicity are just the extension of Marina’s own work philosophy.

Aegis Production’s website / 2009
Aegis Productions is a production/publishing/ consulting company that seeks to engage cultural leaders of high quality. They create plays, projects, blogs, books, etc. They wanted a classical site, with character, where they could present their upcoming events and products as well as give basic company background.

Hospital Manager's interface / 2007
Hospital Manager is a Sims like game where players can manage the day to day operations of a hospital. The main challenge while working on their site was creating a layout that showed the options, information and controls all within a single window.

7ª Essência's website / 2009
7ª Essência is a bodyboard and surf school based in Lisbon, Portugal. Lisbon’s beautiful beaches provide great teaching ground where professionals and experienced teachers can provide a dynamic learning environment for their students. 7ª Essência needed a website that translated both their quality of work and their love for the sea. The content management system was developed by the NJ based Ruby on Rails developer Wynuel Aquino.

Catemai are serious experts in the sale and repair of hardware. Their site reflects the loyalty and positive comments they have received from their customers. Also the site reflects the brands and services they offer daily.

Ubuntu App Developer / 2011
The Ubuntu App Developer site is a place where developers who want to create Ubuntu applications can find all the necessary information and get in touch with the Ubuntu app developer community to share ideas, ask questions and get all the news and events. The website was an opportunity for the Ubuntu brand to expand and explore towards an audience not yet catered for within its web properties.

PromPicker is a Facebook app targeted at highschool students. Its mission is to make picking the prom date a less stressful process. The logo and icon design is by Chip Wass. Front- and back-end development by Neutron Creations. This project was developed at FoxLand.

This iPhone app concept was created as an example of what could be done to improve the complicated screens from some existing sports apps. It was commisioned by Genwi, the creators of iSites.

Surf Inn Portugal offers quality and fun vacations to their clients: advanced surfers or just someone who wants to learn surf or bodyboard. For their bilingual website, they were looking for something fun, colourful and with a surf and bodyboard related theme, that at the same time was easy to use.

Inawinapi's website / 2007
I created a website for Cebaldo de León (incidentally my father). As a published anthropologist, he requested a website that reflects his writing and research. He conducted an award winning study on the sustainability of tourism for the Panamanian Kuna Islands of Ustupu (National Geographic Society and Fitur).

Oral Farma is an online oral health shop. It has been designed to have a clean and simple layout. This makes it relatively easy for users to navigate through the products offered on the consumer website. This project was made while working for Ideas Frescas, a web design company based in Faro, Portugal.
